Hello to all,
This is my first post though I have been enjoying your posts for a while. I love the Ultima but alas I have no where near the sort of money needed to build so I just enjoy your pages and builds. The reason for this post is that the company I work for has gone into adminstration and we are an automotive engineering firm based on the South coast. We used to be Daewoo Technical Centre , then we were bought by TWR and a few more name changes since and we have finally succumbed to the inevitable for an engineering company.
The assets are being sold off in separate lots and there maybe some bits of kit that would interest you guys. We predominately did vehicle testing so lots of large hydraulic pumpsets, rams etc, but we also have a well equipped workshop with Mills, lathes, CNC mill, folders, Promecam power presses, mig (10-12 off) and tig welders, pillar drills, hammer forms, panel wheels, strippit punch machines, plus lots more. We have in our stores lots of Samco hosing and nuts, bolts, hydraulic fittings, etc.
I don't know if any of you are interested in this kind of stuff but there will be an auction set up by KingSturge soon to sell it all off. If you are interested or just want to have a nose around at what was a leading automotive test facilty then let me know as I have full authority to show people round.
