17th and then an improvement to 15th in the second race at the weekend. Did you have fun?

Sorry I didn't make it down, I had the mother of all hangovers on Sunday and didn't crawl out of bed until past 11....

Well done, mate. How many were racing? Good to get your toes wet before the start of next season.

Thanks Justin smile

Had a fantastic time despite the rain!

I'd never driven the elise in the wet and on 048's at Brands it took me a wee while to get the hang of the grip levels, plus I'd just had a lot of work done to the car and a new seat which I'd never sat in till quali!!

Did a 1.04.1 in quali which put me 22 out of 32 starters. Not toooo impressive really! Pole was a 1.01 I think.

Race 1 was super wet. It was a 3 abrest start which I was in the middle for, so when the guy infront of me lit his rears up I had nowhere to go and had to stop again! furious

By turn 1 I was probably about 28th, then I went on the charge and made up about 10 places (with nearly all of them coming by slipping up the inside at Paddock eek and Druids) to finish 17th. It was such fun, the mix of extacy and terror is immense!! Especially when the car is permenantly sliding one way or the other. Brands doesnt really have a straight or anywhere to blink and chill for a second!! My fastest lap was a 1.00.2 smile A full 4 seconds faster than quali!!

Race 2 was pretty similar apart from nearly having 3 massive crashed when others span infront of me! Did much the same and this time finished 15th. Its hard to make up more places in these races because all the cars are so similarly paced. Quali is all important I have learned.

I videoed the 2nd race and shall pop up a link for those with 20 mins to spare, its pretty entertaining and gives a goot insight to close elise racing.

All the pro racers out there please feel free to give me some tips!!

Greg smile

ps. Link to results here (mine is elise trophy A)

pps. You may notice that I posted the 5th fastest lap in race 1. rolleyeswink
