Hope they are ok. I wonder if the off side lower wish bone failed and caused the accident or if it was damaged during the collision

This doesn't sound good:

Anyone who witnessed the accident, or who saw the manner of the TVR’s driving beforehand, can phone North Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060247.

Nope, it looks like the police are inviting criticism of the TVR's driving.

The only 'sports car' in the cars damaged. In that instance suspicion always seems to head toward the 'sports car' driver. I would have thought that the witness statements from just the drivers hit would be enough frown

Hope all are ok, I agree the above doesn't sound too good though. Lest we judge, we all know how easily these beasts can break away even at slow speeds.

Unless I've read it wrong, the TVR was the only moving car.

The other cars were stationary

Yeah, but I think what he means is that if the stationary cars all said the TVR was not particulalry speeding or driving erratically, and just appeared to suddenly lose control, then that should be good enough for the police.

My assumption, though, is that one of the stationary car occupants has cast doubt upon the way the Cerb was being driven, thus leading the police to try and find some "history" of the cars movements prior to the accident.

Trouble is, a lot of old biddies seem to love 40mph and consider anybody doing more than that, even on a NSL road, to be driving "like a lunatic". So, an accident happens and one old boy says to the rozzers "well, he overtook me not 10 minutes before, going like a lunatic!" and the guy gets done for reckless driving, even though it may have been a perfectly legal maneouver.

They could have been stationary compared to him...... hehe

Sorry on a serious note, just been there myself, luckily nowhere near as bad, hope the occupants are ok....

Hope everyone is Ok, PHer or otherwise.

Not overjoyed at the BiB's apparent fishing for blame, TBH, as I'm quite sure they'll find some old biddy (present or otherwise) to blame the driver. Still, by the sounds of it they were the only moving vehicle, so I suppose the BiB have to investigate. frown

doesn't that kind of defeat the object of the thing, or are you now a garage queen type like a few others.
