my replacement fuse box (following melted fuse) was from an Audi, but I can't tell you which one I'm afraid.

I've never found an Audi one that is exactly the same, close enough if you don't mind re-routing some circuits though. Then again you are not quite sure.... (closest is a 90ish quattro IIRC)

The TVR wiring is not so complicated that you couldn't follow the dnb path & use a new modular box (wonder who pointed him in that direction??)? It would prob be cheaper than replacing existing box, connectors.... if you are contemplating shortening / lengthening the loom?

Bin it!

Use something like this instead smile Then you can control where things go and what is connected together...

(scroll down to the modular fuseboard)

I can't think who gave me the idea... Maybe it was the same chap who suggested VEMS would be a better choice than Megasquirt... wink

I don't get it. Don't you think TVR had wonderful foresight in providing a fuse box that you can pull out onto the passenger seat to resolve wiring problems?

I know its a great ball of spaghetti, but its not like its in the way.

Nice interior Quinny. Same as mine wink

Yup. Re-read all of your Winter Project thread, and still none the wiser. What's got up your @rse about the wiring Quinny?

Ah, righto mate. I'm in the same place now about my fuel pipes. Its a horrible itchy feeling isn't it LOL

So are you going to give us a lesson in how to crimp wires when you fit it. I'm curious as I've never had the benefit of being shown how to do this properly.
I'm being serious BTW.

I didn't realize you wanted the plastic housings, I've got nearly a couple of sets of those wink Its only the link (tether?) on the retainer that seems to break on them.

Doesn't the Bible show a different fuse layout for almost each year of manufacture? wink

The fuse box is the same just wired differently (except that odd ball one they used for a short time!)

I'm pretty sure my 93 built 94 pre serp has a Ford Orion fuse box. It's not the Audi one in this thread.

What PH needs a dedicated topic that lists all the known parts sources for various Griffs.

Recently I replaced my non power steering rack gaiters. No one I asked knew where the rack or gaiters were sourced from. After an hour or two in the gaiters catalogue I identified the gaiters as Ford Ka.

Having a list online somewhere would save a lot of researching.

Did the Ford Ka even exist when your Griffith was conceived and built ?

There in lies the difficulty to some extent that it's about what parts will match and perform rather than what was oiginally used.

There is an alternative parts list on The Griffith Pages, a very useful resource.

Perhaps you would email Ballistic Banana the owner of TGP and let him know and he'll add the details to the list.

I thought it was updated it so that it was a wiki, and that you could all contribute?

Johno, I don't see why it's a difficulty. The whole point of my suggestion was for others to avoid difficulty.

I found that Ford Ka gaiters are identical to the ones used on my Griff. Not knowing where Ford previously used the rack they use on the later than my Griff - Ka, is pretty irrelevant. All that matters that if someone knows for certain what part from where today is identical, or fits/works, that's all the list needs to show.

I'll check the Griff Pages in future, thanks.

Ok for those interested, the block connectors and fusebox are definitly from an Audi.

Ant got me a contact for a supplier, but they'll only supply 1000 at a time,(and thats the blocks) so its a scrapyard job.

I've carefully stripped them down, so now all I need to do is get the crimped connectors to fit the blocks. And these are available from Vehicle Wiring Products.

So thats it. from here I should be able to make a tidy job of the wiringyesthumbup
Thanks for the help everyone. Especially Spend and Anthony.

So when do i get my Bone Quinny ?

I'm sure the Ka was mostly made of Fiesta parts.
