Credit crunch.. formerly known as martin thomas.
I heard they were putting the cover per individual up to 100k ... what is it now ? Oh 50k. Don't believe a word.Credit crunch.. formerly known as martin thomas.
A reduction in Vat would be a very good idea. It could be funded by dropping the % rate and making every buisness liable.
I once read somewhere that in france they used to have high vat like here but they dropped it to 5% (i think building trade only). The idea behind it was that EVERY self employed tradesman had to be registered as part of the law. Their idea apparantly worked as they are now gaining more revenue from it, customers don't mind as 5% is acceptable and the trades don't mind as 5% is easier to sell than nearly bloody 20%
I may have heard that in a dream though so dont quote me, but pretty sure.
If its true i think its the first decent thing the french have done
