Does anyone know of an MOT testing centre in the south east that is not too harsh on the usual TVR 'problems' of slightly useless handbrakes etc? I don't really want to spend £100 just to get the handbrake working long enough to get it through the MOT!!

TIA,

Jo

Wargrave - Berkshire.

Inspection pit - not ramp. - so no grounding

Decelerometer - not rolling road - so no risk to limited slip diff - and no real test of handbrake I guess.

Mine passed there ok.

Very accommodating, and a pub 100 yards away to sup an ale for the 45 mins the MOT takes. They get plenty of TVRs from Motorvation so know the ropes.

I offer to help and end up sitting in the car heaving on it for all I'm worth!

Nice to know it's a common problem - as a fairly new owner I couldn't understand why my chimaera wouldn't stand still on a slight incline a week after it passed its MOT?

Old PHers may recall my views on the TVR handbrake system. It has two positions:

1) Stillrollsbackwards
2) Needbothhandstogetthebastardoff

You choose!

Mine must be unique then, I've never had a problem with the handbrake, if anything its better than the everyday car one .

Thanks for the responses all, just gotta find the time to take it in now!

If anyone does have the number for the place near Walldonway, that would be cool.
