M&S eat in for £10

Mrs Puggit went down to M&S today - all the stuff that wasn't sold during the weekend was on offer.

A dozen King Scallops for £2.50

When you say "king" what size are we talking? Waitrose "king" scallops can often be the size of 10p pieces.

I'd say a good king scallop should be about the size (literally) of a tea-light, including thickness.

Any roe?

I really fancy scallops now..................

I personally find M&S stuff a bit hit and miss. Some is fantastic, but you pay for it, and it's well worth it. The rest of it is decidedly average, yet you are still paying for it and it's not worth the premium.

That sound good, though the 2 4 a tenner, is a con!
That much food /wine will never stretch to 2 people!

actually yeah you're right, we had scallops and some mixed veg - both lovely but i had to do potatos myself to go with it.

i had a good look, and you could get a lasagne and vegetables which i'm sure would fill 2 people, but then you're paying m&s premium for something you could do just as well yourself....
wine was pretty nice though for the money.
