prolly had more fun and mileage out of BF2 than any other game ever (along with UT2003)
all the best elements of BF1942 but so much better


stopped playing it a long time ago now though and was wondering if anything has replaced it ?

whats the big mutiplayer FPS game that PC users are into nowadays ?

COD4 seems to be the one everyone is playing, though it's not a patch on BF2 on the PC in my opinon, which I understand is still popular

I play on bf2 albeit the 'point of existence' mod. I got a copy of 2142, it should really have been a mod or patch, not a full game as it didn't bring anything new apart from attack the ship.

Bad company was excellent fun on the 360, but the graphics were a little disappointing. I'm waiting for the next iteration on the PC.

Never got into BF2, but I've been playing BF2142 for 2 years.

BF1942 Desert Combat was still better than BF2, You cannot beat a 50 V 50 battle on El Alamein, MLRS and the propert dog fighting with none of this heat seeking missles and Chaffs.

BF2 felt numb to me.

i played that thing for almost 2 years and loved it

did try a demo of 2142 but wasn't convinced


bought the latest UK as well but its not a patch on that big landscape battle experience

I started on BF1942; upgraded PC over time and found it could run BF2. Tried going back to 1942 and it didn't feel as good. Dunno why.

I still have BF1942 installed (with Road to Rome & Secret Weapons), in fact I bought it after buying BF2 because I wanted the WWI 1918 mod for BF1942

Have BF2 installed as well with the following add-ons/mods - Allied Intent 2, Special Forces, Mercenaries, Point of Existence 2.

It won't get removed for a long time yet.

I still play BF2142, went about it backwards. Bought 2142, then BF2 after that anmd never really got into BF2 as I had more unlocks in 2142. Both still good games in terms of online play.
