Should this Muslim be allowed to impose his views on another culture in thier home country so forcefully ?
read this....
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/4/20081110/tuk-mps-want-t...

In other news recently....
Keith Vaz, is facing demands for a sleaze inquiry after intervening in a court case on behalf of a party donor.
Vaz, chairman of the influential home affairs select committee, urged the High Court to delay proceedings involving a friend from whom he and his family had received lavish hospitality.
We can reveal that the friend - controversial lawyer Shahrokh Mireskandari - was on the brink of losing a long-running legal costs battle with an airline when Mr Vaz intervened.

Keith Vaz urged a judge to delay proceedings against his friend who was on the brink of losing a legal battle worth £400,000
The stakes were high as the lawyer is desperately challenging a court order to pay £400,000 in costs to the liquidator of the airline.
He is now facing a bankruptcy action after losing his latest appeal.
At a critical point in the case, 51-year-old Mr Vaz wrote to the High Court asking the presiding judge to adjourn proceedings pending the outcome of complaints by Mireskandari about how the case had been previously handled, involving hotly contested allegations of racism and bias.
Legal sources said the judge was furious at what he perceived to be 'political interference'.
As head of the home affairs committee, the MP for Leicester East has a key role in law-and-order issues.
Iranian-born Mireskandari, 47, is the lawyer at the centre of the Scotland Yard race row involving Britain's top Asian policeman, Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur, who has launched a £1.2million racial discrimination claim against Met chief Sir Ian Blair.
Last week, we revealed that Mireskandari is a convicted fraudster with suspect legal qualifications. He is a close friend of Met Commander Ali Dizaei, president of the National Black Police Association, who was suspended on Thursday after the Mail revealed disturbing links between the pair.
'I am not aware of any other precedent in modern times of politicians seeking to influence a member of the judiciary in this way. It raises serious questions about conduct.'
But Mr Vaz could also face a second parliamentary inquiry if a complaint is made to the Committee on Standards in Public Life.
The MPs' code of conduct states that 'members shall at all times conduct themselves in a manner which will tend to maintain and strengthen the public's trust and confidence in the integrity of Parliament'.

Its like watching a country piling up its own funeral pyre....someone once said.

Is he by God ?
Just because a cow wanders into a stable it doesn't make him a horse.

In 1989 Vaz led 3000 Muslims in protest against the author Salman Rushdie and his book the Satanic Verses...

Who cares what religion Keith Vaz is? The real issue here is simple. Why can't this authoritarian control freak bd nazi Government go after the people who break laws, rather than just coming up with yet more draconian legislation to suppress everybody?

No, no, but he's a darky, and he's against booze - he must be one of them muslamists....

This place is turning to a cesspit of thinly veiled racism, and it's becoming sickening.

Only if corrupt politicians are a race, in which case I'm extremely racist.

Nice to see a rational, thought out, debating position: at least it would be.

Because the Government have tied the police up with so much red tape it's difficult to enforce so many existing laws.
Much easier to make more things illegal and make the new laws easier to enforce. (can't argue with a camera!)

To clarify, the OP thinks that Keith Vaz is a muslim because he's dark and against booze.

That is quite telling.

And yes, all politicians are s.

Bit strange that a Labour MP (the party that introduced 24 hour drinking) is now trying to stop people drinking?

Well to be honest, wander around any English town on a friday or saturday night and what you see is truly depressing.

Happy Hours should be banned and opening hours shortened.

On top of this I believe that supermarkets should lose their license to sell booze. This is actually more important as for starters it will encourage local business and secondly get people back into pubs, socialising with other human beings and maintaining the local community.

Pubs are the historic social backbone of this country and in the last 15 years the vast majority have become places where you would never dream of going, partly because of the scum that frequents them but also because so many of the better people drink at home talking to the armchair.

I support Keith Vaz 100%, but as he is a darkie and this is PistonHeads then obviously he must be burnt as an evil purveyor of destruction.

So because some unevolved simians cannot moderate their behaviour, my drinking experience should be made more expensive and onerous?

Get tae feck.

His skin colour and imaginary friend affiliation make absolutely no difference. Show me one entirely successful implementation of prohibition.

Making booze more difficult to obtain either by cost or by licence will not change a single thing.

I'd go one step further and outlaw supermarkets.

Happy Hour isnt the problem though, thats commercialism, people are stfaced at midnight not because of cheap booze between 6pm and 7pm but because they've been on the piss all day.

Actually I think it is a cultural problem where in other countries people go out to have a drink, but in Britian they go out to get drunk.
