Need to get a new battery from Halfords after work. Having searched a few people have mentioned that the Halfords 072 no longer fits? Can anyone provide me with the dimensions so I don't end up getting a battery that's too large?

Thank you please.

I just dug up some notes I made months ago....i measured mine up and it was 250 x 180 x 210. (LxWxH).
If you have a look at http://www.carbatteryshop.co.uk/i-089-Numax-Car-Ba... this is the battery they list for the Cerb, and the measurements more or less agree.

Got a 072 thinking they'd changed the size back, but it IS too tall, about 5mm too tall! So went back and changed it for an 075. Similar amps, but much smaller, and also the terminals are on the wrong sides. Luckily the earth had enough spare to allow me to mount the battery the wrong way around. Not ideal but at least it works now. Just for future ref, the battery I took out was an 069, but my Halfords store didn't stock them.

The prob with the 072 was that it has a rubbish crank capacity (as I recall it).
I think that some of the starting issues might be exacerbated by low crank capacity.
Worth digging deep and buying a decent battery.

Plus if you're battery is the wrong way round now, its going to be a nightmare if you ever have to jump start it.
