Lightweight 100-120mm frame for around £800-1000
Discussion
A mate's after a replacement frame for his Stumpjumper FSR frame, He wants around 100-120mm travel, as light as possible and 'different' if possible, for around a £700-£1000.
He doesnt like Giants and is considering another spesh. I've suggested a Meta 4, a Scott Genius, or a SC superlight if he can get one cheap enough.
Any suggestions? and does anyone know of any deals going at the minute?

Slightly over budget, but here's an option- Cove: http://www.tredz.co.uk/.Cove-Hustler-XC-2008-Frame...
A bit cheaper, Meta 5: http://merlincycles.co.uk/?fn=product&productI...
And to keep everyone happy

Don't think the frame would take a 120mm fork though without effecting adversely the handling (assuming that is the fork your mate has from the FSR).
I had an older Anthem (90mm), and it was an electric ride. Frame was just under £900 from recollection.

Cheers for the replies, I mentioned the Giant to him, he simply doesn't like them. I have the same dislike of Marins, they may be good but I'd never want one!
I've found him a Cannondale Rush Carbon at £999, there's a Spesh S-works Epic on Gumtree at £1600 (2nd hand) and he also likes the SC Superlight. Also, theres a Yeti AS-R on Singletrack which looks good.
I'll see what he decides!

In that case, he should consider the Super 4. theres no Meta 4 anymore, and i wasnt a huge fan of it - it weighed nearly the same as a Meta 5.
The New super 4 however, is veeeerry nice, totally re-designed, much lighter, very sexy looking. Lad at work has one of our demo bikes at the moment, and i've had a quick spin, it feels good. Not sure if theres many reviews out yet, but the bikes are available now and the frames shold be about soon I presume.
