Indoor or outdoor, if the latter I would not recomend one at all.

Why is it not advisable to have a cover if being outside? What issues does this cause?

Thanks

The rubbing can cause scratches on the paint work.

This is made even worse if the car is dirty when the cover is put on.

I bought one from Porsche for the Boxster S. It was a pain in the arse to be honest. We'd wash the car and then put the cover on. The problem is as soon as you take it off and drive the car(even if for 10 mins) you have to wash the car again. The cover spent much more time in the boot than it did on the car. If you do get one though it has to be breathable. I wouldn't bother again TBH

I had a Covercraft outdoor cover for my old Trans Am. The cloth was breathable but had a coating that prevented rain getting through! I never had any problems with chaffage or marking.
The cover was made to measure and quite close fitting and cost a bit - it's still in the garage now that the poor old car has gone to Trans Am heaven cry

Ive been using a cover, because of the overhead power cables over my drive attract all the birdlife to practise their aim. Had problems in heavy winds keeping the cover on, so wanted something of a tailor fit, need to kick offroad truck out of garage and put VXR8 in there.
