BBC2 Mental health programme.
Discussion
Ok, I'll start the thread....
A group of 10 people, 5 "normals" and 5 with mental health history or current problems - we don't know who is who and neither do 3 experts who have to watch their behaviour during various tests and tasks and then try to work out who has what.
That was quite uncomfortable watching, the goaty traveller bloke is scary(Stuart?), the teacher(Vicky?)seems to have a load of pain, Holly never shows her arms - as for the rest, who knows? Come on then, who are the loons and who is normal? (If there is such a thing...)
As for the way the programme is put together, well, there is so much editing to "steer" the viewer down various paths it is almost like Big Brother. Shame, as it is a fascinating idea.
I'm off to rock quietly in the corner now

I was getting a bit bored with the number of different ways that the experts could say 'we have no fecking idea' but it was quite interesting viewing none the less. I didn't think that any of them were obvious weirdos myself, no weirder than people you meet every day anyway.
Wonder what was up with that woman they thought was OK? Bulemic?

I watched it too, I thought it was a bit slow and drawn out in that editing style that is common these days, but I watched it through. The most I learnt was the definitions of the illnesses. They have proven so far that it's difficult to diagnose on limited information and for the viewer at home it's no difference or even worse..
I like the idea though.

Half bulimic? She only does the eating?
I thought the paint-balling was too vague a test to prove anything apart from to see how they handled disappointment - cleaning out tons of cows
t, on the other hand, was a true way to flush out the OCDers
The goaty man could be the anorexic one or, more likely, the bipolar. It just goes to show how hard it is to tell just by looking at someone in a fairly normal life.
Blimey, it is like watching Big Brother or some other reality crap...
