Might seem a silly question, but I am trying to assemble the passenger door latch/lock system on my M...

How are you supposed to be able to lock the door?

There is not a key hole in the passenger handle... so it seems perminatly engaged on the opening lever in the latch.... Am I missing something?

Does anyone have a suitable diagram showing how it should be assembled?

The Vixen passenger door lock operates by pushing it forward.

Pull it back to unlock and open

Yep thats right, I had a problem when rebuilding mine that the handle would not lock. The problem was that the latch mechanism was hitting the cam on the lock and not sliding under it. The answer was to wind in the adjuster under the button so the cam was in a higher position and allowed the door to lock.

Does that make sense?

Under further investigation I seem to have all of the bits..

However...

Does anyone have a spare door lock barrel and key to suit the cortina mk3 handles? Mine is completely ruined!!
