Please help before i smash my 360 to a million pieces!!!!

Hi guys,

Sorry i am getting so stressed with the bloody thing,

Only recently got it and started playing Forza 2 like wild fire lol

I have since managed to get hold of a wireless adapter and setup xbox live, however the xbox live system has setup another gamertag exactly the same as my original one on my HD.

The one i have been using has loads of cars/acheivments etc and the one xboxlive has setup has sweet fa........ how the hell do i just use one gamertag and get access to my cars etc i have already built on the original gamertag?

Can i merge the 2, or copy the info over or something?!

To my knowledge, afraid not.

I was as supprised as you after I recently bought mine a few months ago and only recently got xbox live only to find I had to start from scratch all over again. Was a bit pissed at first but you soon get over it and find you play more on live than you do single player anyway

I'm sure you can turn your offline account into a live account, providing the gamertag is not already taken? You might even be able to change the name.

I made the same mistake but only "lost" a few weeks worth of gaming.

Trouble is you generally call your local account something like Steve (or your own name usually...) and when you go to use it as a live gamertag there are already 1000's of other Steves of various descriptions and the basic Steve moniker is already taken.

I had the problem of creating an account on mine with the name 'MadRob6' but I'd previously used that for an original xbox live account which I had cancelled a long time ago but for some strange reason was still on the system yet not so I was stuck without it and had to restart all my games again.

It's not the greatest system.

Tell me about it, well in truth it cost me £23 because i had a to subscribe but thats my fault, ive written an arsey email so ill see where that gets me!
