I checked myself and noticed that. Not sure where its gone. If I remember rightly, he was looking to get rid of his existing plate as he'd got MAL4M. Mite be wrong.

IIRC the thread in question was deemed as an advert and was subsequently deleted.

Agree but when phrases like "make me an offer" also appear then it will be deemed as and ad.

We all also having a clampdown on "What's it worth" threads.

Hi folks, it was removed because I made the mistake of saying 'if anyone is interested?'....

On such a close nit forum, I'd suggest an 'informal' 'almost' advert could be excused, especially if it's in the interests of those using the forum.

Rules are rules though.

i'm gutted, sold my cerb about a year ago to a chap that was going to export it to germany anway so i stupidly left the plate on there (C3RB V) thinking that I could just put it back onto retention at a later stage, he didnt want it as it was of no use to him - then like a muppet I totally forgot.

Just went to do it so sent a nice email to the DVLA to ask how I do it - they came back to advise that unless you notify them BEFORE a vehicle is exported the plate is lost forever :-(
