Hi - I know I'm probably quite sad for asking this, but which pubs do people consider good for getting a lot of attention?

If anybody knows of any pubs that, most importantly, have a car park that's clearly visible from the bar/restaurant (in the winter!) and beer garden (in the summer!) so that you can see the crowds of people admiring your car!

Good food is also a bonus (especially Sunday roast!), but for the purpose of this discussion, not essential!

I live in Dorset, so if anyone knows of any pubs that are just made to show off your pride and joy in the area (or even the rest of the country - have car will drive!) then I'd be really interested in hearing about them!

When we go out to bars around clerkenwell we go out for a laugh and to get pissed with mates. So many time you see some nonse mincing around a 360 modena drinking mineral water - it's a joke. The totty around the bars just ignore all this - not impressed at all.

Its the same in SW London. I was in Sloane Square not long ago and must have counted at least 5 360 Modena's driving round at about 5mph making sure people notice them.

I suggest you join the TVR club and attend your local regional meetings, these are usually at a local pub.

Shamus, I think that's your answer!
Don't go around posing and giving TVR owners a bad name of sad w@nkers!
People will notice the look/sound of your TVR without you throwing it in their faces.
Cheers....... Andrew

maybe, like me, he's looking for a good boozer with like minded people, good grub and ale, but most importantly a parking area where you can sit outside/keep an eye on the cars/watch the world cruise by

nah apache, he wants a pub full of young girls to whom he can show his blackpool beast....be honest most sportscars are 80% about posing....if not then we would all have a AMG Mercedes, which is almost as quick and way more discrete..

Don't get me wrong - I'm not a boy racer, and I'm happily married, so I'm not talking about "impressing the girlies", but I drive a bright purple Tuscan - the most beautiful car I've ever seen - that goes like lightning and sounds like thunder! In no way is it subtle! I love the attention it gets! If I go out to a pub for instance, I like to sit somewhere and be able to see my car - mainly for security, partly because I like to look at it (I've only had it a fortnight, and I can't stop looking at it!), and I do enjoy the attention it gets from other people! If that's sad, then I suppose I'm sad! I find it hard to believe that someone would by a car as "in your face" as a TVR and hope to slip through life unnoticed.

Changing the subject slightly - the Red Shoot in Lynwood in the New Forest is particularly good in the summer. Lots of bikers, custom bikes, trikes etc.

Saw a Yellow Chimaera for sale advertised once 'Owner wishes to sell due to too much attention attracted by this car'

i think shamus actually had a valid question but probably raised too many peoples taboo's... fact is 100% yes one hundred percent of us tvr owners at some stage have LOVED the fact that EVERYONE is looking at us and we have often seeked it..
shamus has been honest enough to admit it and thats where the poor chap has floundered.
shamus my friend, we are all like you, but we do not a) admit it due to fear of looking sad and
b) for god's sake ASK where the best place to POSE is.....
sssshhhhhhhh you work it out for yourself...
