Salient points:
270 PS
80 kg of positive downforce at 100 mph, which is over 10 % of the cars weight.(implies it's <800Kg's)
£78,255 MSRP

Simon, don't you just wish you could achieve those sorts of figures and weight with a honda'd car? wink

Jokes aside, surely if you took an S1 (or even S2), Stripped it down to chassis, taking out windscreen surrounds etc, stuck a chargecooled SC honda in and rebodied it with a 211 shell and cage etc, your end product would have 350 bhp and weigh closer to 700kg (or less), all for 40% of the price.

Alternatively buy a std 211 for half the price of the GT4 - same weight and very little less power. Seems like the gearbox is the only really fancy bit.

Cool car, and always good to see Lotus' racing. £80k is just laughable though.

International C licence and £1450 + VAT per race.

/edit

For the season it would cost a one off fee of £12,807.

Kev asked what the competition fee's are. I gave him the answer, not how much a season's racing will cost.

I think Kev was probably asking how much other GT4 cars cost out of the box.

I think he was talking about the license and entry fees only.... Tyres, etc. go extra of course.

you need to remeber here that this is FIA GT4 we are talking here, not Brit GT

assuming you do all the work yourself and don't have to pay a team to run it for you, I would suggest it's going to cost you £5-8K a round.

the problem I have with this is it's a totally un-proven car in GT4, and whist it may be on the pace of this years entries, this does not translate to next year's, GT racing does not stand still.

I think £80K is about right for a full blown spec'ed GT4 car like the Aston N24 etc, but I can't put this in that catagory.

The FIA GT4 entry then, which is the European GT4 championship is 2000 euros per race for entry, and obviously this doesn't take into consideration other costs like running the team etc.... Same licence is required, international C.

Worth pointing out the 2-11 is in the Sports Light category alongside

Donkervoort D8GT
Gillet Vertigo
KTM X-Bow
