I've got a nice split in the leather trim on my drivers seat along the central horizontal seam (Been throwing my weight around a bit too much!) Does anyone know a way to take the leather covers off the seat so I can get it repaired, or does the whole seat have to come out to do this? It's a '90 NA Esprit.

Cheers guys,
Richard.

When I had a tear in the seat I took the seat out & left it with the repairer for him, to take apart.

It's easy to get the seat out, just four nuts underneath the floor & lift it out

4 bolts, one washer each Don't even need to jack the car up to get to them.

When you remove them, collect the washer/spacers up top and note their locations. Watch the door panels when removing.

I've pulled mine 10 times already (don't ask)

Think I'll remove the door panels so I don't scratch them (have taken them off so many times I can do it on about 60 seconds now!)

Cheers for your help.
