need to get some new boots for the 19inch wheels i'm putting on the QP chaps. These tyres will be short termers while I get used to the car so I was going to get these until I get new Pirellis. BUT, are they rubbish?

If you are going to run the car on pirellis, why not start off with them?

Had them on my GTR a few years ago, I seem to recall hearing they are basically a Bridgestone or Yokohama tyre, without the familiar name, although I could've heard wrong! wink

IMO - they're Ok, very progressive but lack the ultimate grip of Michelin's PS2's. If you're after some part worns have a look on e-bay.

Craig ... I'm running Falkens on my F348 and yes - they give very good grip under hard road driving, the last jaunt in damp conditions on one of our early morning moorland runs.

I had the same reservation, or rather lack of knowledge as you when it came to Falken, so I asked some people that know their stuff and the answer came back similar to Rick's. Ultimately they can't compete with the high end stuff if you are really using them to the max, but a very capable tyre nonetheless.

When mine need replacing I will swap them with either my fave tyre EVER, the Eagle F1, or if I can't find the right size then Toyo 888s.

Hope you're keeping well and the jumper is coming out of hibernation soon smile
