Does anyone remember this 1980s TV programme?
Discussion
Reading the Knightmare thread got me thinking of a programme, I can't remember the name of it but this is is how it worked.
It was all based outdoors in what seemed like an abandoned landscape of forest, roads, houses and rivers and they had to orienteer themselves to the next location where they were given tasks to do. There were 2 teams that were possibly doing the tasks on different days because sometimes they were in the same location, they were both shown during the programme. Narration over the top of the tasks, oh and it was usually raining as well
I think they got the clues and directions after completing tasks.
It was around at the same time as The Adventure game and The Great Egg Race and the people taking part were all members of the public and not stupid people either, the tasks were difficult. Was on BBC2 I think.
Anyone else remember and know what it was called?

'Now Get Out Of That'?
Brilliant, been trying to remember it for ages and forgetting to ask. Thanks
Found a clip
- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=UkVml5SQVLcA couple (well, at least 1) of these series was torrented from UKNova. They were every bit as good as I remembered, Bernard Falk being sarky, useless yet brilliant teams, and some blokes wearing scarily short shorts. Reality programmes today could learn a huge amount from NGOOT in terms of co-operation, watchability and brain exercise.

te American... always had an answer, 'knew' exactly what the team should do - and was usually wrong. I hope they found the opportunity to throw him in some nettles
But he didn't know what a "block and tackle" was.

Who remembers "The Great Egg Race"?

That was Zeke (his name is burned into my brain somewhere, he was that obnoxious). I think that was the series that was filmed around Eastnor castle, where Landrover do/did their testing.
My long buried brain cells where my 80s memories are stored are telling me his name was Zak.Eric Mc said:

Ezekiel 'Zeke' Emanuel was the chap. He is, apparently, now a well-known (at least in academia) bio-ethicist who is also the big brother of Barack Obama's chief of staff, Rahm ('Rahmbo' - brilliant!) Emanuel. So there
