I think they should have more missions, like cod4 i copleted it in 2 days spending less than 4hours on it a day...the nazi zombie game after you complete the game is extremely good especially oonline

Seems ok, although within 5 mins of playing the game I managed to glitch myself into a rock and had to restart frown Not sure it's got the intensity of CoD4, but it's pretty good.

Well, completed this today within 24 hours of purchase... Hmmm.

Fairly average game really, and I would say this game will find itself in the 'special offer' section way before CoD 4, which must be a first. It's all a bit 'been done' with pretty much exactly the same missions as CoD3 and 2. (There's even a plane mission ffs...) and after a while you get bored of that 'follow me' crap and utterly linear experience...

Good Bits: Nice graphics, good sound

Bad bits:
M1 Garand is like slapping the enemy with a limp catfish, pointless in extremis. Pistols are a complete joke. Some weapons are good, and I found a cracking Barret look-a-like on the final mission which was prett good, and made up for the shocking lack of decent sniper content.

Typical CoD game experience and spawing. Part of the genre I suppose, but I hate those games that either 1. Have a line in the sand which when crossed will trigger hoards fo the enemy, regardless and 2. Endlessly spawn enemies (even in confined areas) until you make a break for it and plug the gap.

... and breathe. It wasn't that bad actually, and I suppose the online experience will be pretty cool.

Who's online later... (off to play CoD4 now smile)

Me too. I recon that most of the hardcore players will go back to COD4 quite quickly from the reviews I have read.

I will wait for it to be on offer. I doubt it will be too long.

Sorry guys, forgot to mention another annoying bit! You have to do several levels of normal online play before being allowed to do Hardcore, so it's back to 4/5 body shots for a kill frown

But, the online stuff looks pretty good. After 7 kills you get to 'release the hounds' which is pretty good smile The maps seem to be as good, although I've only played 3 or 4 up to now.

Also, there seems to be more logic to the levels, although according to Elo there are 65 levels rather than 55. Oh, and no claymores either... frown But you do get Bouncng Betties - smile

That was the same for COD4 on your first time through.

When you first start, you have the option of the top 3 modes, team deathmatch, free-for-all and the other one, forgotten it. As you go through about the first 15(?) levels you gradually unlock the other ones. Thats why you find the newbiest newbies on team deathmatch and FFA.

was playing from about 8pm till 1am this morning.oops.

ok, likes-
size of maps and buildings
tanks
dogs
artillery
some of the weapons are cool
bayonet is cool

dislikes-
graphics seem too soft, like they have tried to give it a proper period feel rather than let the game play do it itself.
some of the weapons are cack.
weapon sounds are st. they sound like pea shooters. i know not all weapons have great sounds, but these are rubbish.
when sniping, there is no sound when holding breath or releasing to catch breath, it's totally silent and that just isn't right.
some of the shot recognitions have been dubious. i was hit with a head shot when the kill cam showed the guy was aiming about 2 meters behind me. ok, lag is still evident.

overall, COD4 imo, gets a 9/10. COD5 gets a 7-8/10.
we all know 4 had little niggles that stopped it being a 10, but this seems to have plenty of it's own.

I think the weapons sound about right. It's the weak pitter patter of footsteps that I don't like. Instead of jackboots, it sounds more like birds are nesting in the loft or something.

That's a point smile

I think the weapons sounds are very similar to Band of Brothers and that kind of movie, so they probably are quite realistic, but don't quite have the sound-factor of the newer kit...
