Looking at a Tuscan reg W6xxXTU, does anyone know the history of this car?

It states it was inspected by Andy Barnes, again, is he respected in the TVR community? I did a search but not much came up. Any contact details for him?

Cheers in advance.

Hi

This was my old car!!!!!! I always look on this forum to see if it pops up, and it has.
Can't remember the exact dates I had it but during that time it had a rebuild by Dom at TVR power. To red rose spec i believe, might be wrong?
After the rebuild it ran fantastic (tbh it did before hand), I always warmed it up properly before the rebuild and stuck by the rulebook for the running in period. I remember starting it up and it sounded very smooth almost had that sewing machine patter to it.
Sold it onto a RAF pilot - hadn't heard a dickie since. (he had access to the airfield at wekeends so imagine he gave it some stick)

The body work wasn't in the best condition and the boot didn't align properly when closed, these were the only problems, arbeit cosmetic.

Nearly forgot it had a race style clutch fitted by HHC before i bought it as it went the week before i was due to pick it up. Always serviced by HHC.

If you need any more info dont hesitate to ask - would love to see it again if you buy it, please post some pics!!!!

Hi gr4eme- thanks for the info, do you know roughly what the mileage was when rebuilt and when did you sell the car? July 2004?

Its meant to have had a frontend respray in 2006 so that may explain the less than perfect paint you mentioned.

HI

I will have a hunt round for any documents left over and ask the wife, my memory is terrible and I'm pretty sure Igave everything over to new owner. If nopt you can always ring Dom at TVR Power he might still have a record
I'm sure it was tahiti blue not the lotus / ford colour.
Is it the one in the classifieds at £10'995 on a private plate? - had a quick look but couldn't find the car with the plate on?
To avoid any confusion, between posters here my car was W667 XTU, I might have the wrong car in mind here too. (feel free to delete mods if i shouldn't give the plate away)
