What's Inside a Freezer Block?
Discussion
You know, the little blue plastic things that you can put in a coolbag to keep your beer cold...
I had a vague idea it was some kind of antifreeze, but a quick google found nothing relevant.
The reason I'm asking - we left one out on the side by mistake and our GSD decided it would be good to chew

Not sure about those ones but I used to sell these in Oz when I lived there and they are some sort of polymer, non toxic.
I used to demonstrate them and by way of proving they were fine to "eat" I did!
After two weeks of constant proving the doctor told me to stop.

Apparently all freezer blocks and ice packs etc are filled with a mysterious gel, nobody's quite sure of the ingredients but it is definitely non-toxic. Fingers crossed for the puking dog then

I remember seeing a dog being x-ray'd at an airport (Fuertaventura IIRD). This old lady put it through the machine in it's "basket" thing. I imagined the image on the screen to be of a dog, side-on, with a cartoon bone in the middle of it. I didn't find out for sure though.Gassing Station | The Pie & Piston Archive | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
