I am looking to buy on of these in the next 12 months, it will be a bout 6 years old with about 70k on the clock.

I like them but I know nothing about them. Are they any good and is there anything I should be looking out for on them which could cost me big time during my ownership of it?

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks

Iain

Get as new a one as you can, I think that they improved exponentially through the production cycle. I have one, its fantastic but its only a couple of years old.

Mine is 7 years old with 130K. Lovely looking car in Pacific blue with 18" BBS alloys, but it's been unlucky. I've had it for 4 years; there's an electrical gremlin which makes the battery go totally flat in 6 hours (it does it roughly once a month, no warning), it's had two front suspension arms, two busted windscreens, two blow-outs, several slow punctures and now the remote locking is playing up. The satnav won't take postcodes and can't be upgraded, the stereo is prehistoric (it takes cassettes FFS!) and you can't fit any aftermarket units because it's got a 'digital bus'... oh, and the swish alloys have flush valaves that won't fit the garage's airline.

So it's a bit too clever for its own good, but I'd still have another one.
