Hi guys,
I need some recommendations on wet weather tyres (not allowed to be sold as a wet weather tyre only). i've been fairly lucky the past couple of seasons with the weather, the only 2 wet races i had were in 2007 when my then A032r tyres were new.
I was looking at getting Avon CR28's but the places i've called so far can no longer get them so i thought i'd see what else is good.
need to be in size 185/60/13 (can do 175 if needed).
car only weighs about 500kg.

thanks in advance

Adam

I've used Goodyear Eagle F1's this year and they are outstanding in the wet. Our lovely summer gave me plenty of times to try them too!!

Ive used a048r on a similar weight car in the same size in torrential rain and put it fourth on the grid. So personally i'd go for those.....

Something like Yoko A048 or Toyo R888, softest compund possible, either get yourself a tread cutter or get George Polley etc to cut them into wets!

i already use 48r's as my dry tyre, wasnt sure how good they'd be in the wet. i know the 32r's were very good in the wet.

cheers

Hi Cous!!

Tell Uncle to fit some Landy mud pluggers, that should do the trick for all your little adventures off the track!! haha

Slowly at the moment.

Been looking for a car but no real joy. You were right about Mallory being cheaper but after travelling etc im not sure by how much anyhow they dont have available dates until Feb.

Spoke to Malcolm the other day, hes just finished an 11 and got another to finish before April. Might be taking the Piper down in Spring to get the roof fixed.

Whats new with you?

Hope your all well?
