I asked the same question when it posted last week.


Apparently its just projected light that forms the letters.

It's not light, at the begining you can see the water landing in the pool below at different times. It's just a large number of computer controlled valves on a pressurised water rail. Much easier than fueling an engine for example.

I don't understand why it would need to be projected light?

All you need is a row of water jets and a little computer to time when they open, and how long for - very simple technology...

Very easy once you think about it actually, could probably do it with that lego mindstorm stuff and a garden hose
