Hi All,
my quest for finding my ideal gen2 rt/10 has started and stumbled across this ....... seems very cheap considering all the mods it has !!

and would this sort of heavily moded viper be unreliable /tempermental for a low milage user ,basic car knowledge , person like me ??? or are these sort of mods rock solid

here's the link : second car on the list yellow 2002 supercharged
( hope this link works )

http://dodgevipersforsale.com/02-92.htm

all opinions greatfully welcome
thanks in advance

engine wise it just looks a bolt on Paxton, though there could be extra hidden work, setup correctly there shouldnt be to many problems as long as the initial ironing out the bugs work has been done.

The same with any modded car really, extra horse power looks for the weakest link down the line, half shafts, clutch, gearbox, etc the standard viper components can take some punishment espicially if its not a regular track machine

I'm think you'd soon find the standard brakes pictured arent really up to the job of pulling a heavy SC'd car down

Marv selling the car is a known good guy and has a great reputation, one of the welsh brothers brought a GTS from him a while back, and i beleive was well happy with the total service Marv supplied

the car is very nice and original.hope u done your sums at the moment car alone will cost u around 32.000 pounds then you have to allow around 2000.00 pounds for shipping insurance and uk clearance.and then upwards of 6.000 thausand for tax vat etc.that makes to around 40.000.then if you have the funds you only live once just buy it and enjoy it.

thats a bit worrying !!!!!!! for a car that will probably (but never say never !!! ) not see a track , is the fact it has standard brakes on a s/charged car a worry ?????

thanks guys

sorry guys ,
forgot to ask , as there is now a list of mods on the last link , are there any mods listed there that are known to be troublesome or not really recommended or you vipers owners would not of done ??

i know you dont buy a viper to worry about fuel consumption !!!!!!!!! but would a s/charger make it obscene low milage !!!

thanks in advance

hi les
depending on the tune, but mine is running around 600 bhp and i am getting 25 mpg on a run
as for the breaks , get a daves big break upgrade and get it sent back in the car will save you the inport tax and shipping ,kit with disc,s and callipers around $4000 well worth it

25 you do know 6th isnt the only gear ! you can use the other 5 wink

when i chatted to Mich (stock car with exhaust mods) he worked out the 1500 miles to germany and home they averaged to 18mpg, that was with a very fast long leg on the autobahn think he said he did a tank full in 100 miles on that run, his lap around the Ring, the trackday, and all the other driving in between, and hauling a bootfull of PD's make-up about hehe So 18 is pretty good i'd say all things considered

Got to agree with that! You don't start worrying about fuel consumption and then buy a Viper.. Just buy and enjoy! Life is for living.. smile
