Noticed this old beast on autotrader: http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/FERR...

Its my brothers old car and was sold to the garage now selling it 4 years ago. Fantastic car and I even had a quick drive of it around the block (at 17...smile)

Anyone here gone to see it by any chance? Would be good to know where she goes.

There's an even cheaper one on AT!

48,500 miles, 2 Door Coupe, Blue tour de france, Petrol, Manual, engine rebuild and belt change at ferrari graypaul .great car, need tidy up outside, scuffs and scratch on body panel, driver seat a bit worn out .hence low price . £22,500 ono.

Not even lunar mileage! redface

That's a LOT of car ownershsip for 20k!

He sold it 4 years ago for £26k with 60k miles. Bought it 8 months earlier for £36k. Now thats some depreciation. I think he will struggle to sell that at £25k today. Somewhere closer to £21/22k would do the trick I reckon.

Unfortunately I am being totally credit crunched at the moment - but I am trying to turn things round, and ideally will be looking to get into a 456. The current low prices are incredible value, regardless of running costs.....

The only thing with the 456s is that you need one with a balance of impecable history and regular use. That way you know that it has had regular maintenance and you can make an educated guess at what big bills are due under normal circumstances.

One thing to watch is the state of the rear shocks as they are VERY expensive.

True though, fantastic cars and fantastic value, but at £180k new 10 years ago or more, they should be smile

Absolutely! It may cost £25k to buy, but it's still in the £180k servicing league.... Not for the faint hearted. I spoke to a local (to me) dealer who'd run an immaculate model for 4-5 years and he reckoned £4-5k/year for proper servicing.

Stunning machine though!
