These are Mk2 Granada wheel bearings available from any good motor factor.

Agree Granada MK2 but you do need two seals per side - only one per side supplied in Granny kit.

Sounds like we need an faq on this one!

Yes you only get one seal per granny kit that will fit.

If you are careful you can extract the two old seals and pick the best one to use again. I find a claw hammer is quite good for getting the old ones out, lever it out bit by bit with the claw end.

Trying to do this myself at the moment

Bugger getting shaft out of bearing. broke my workbench getting one side out and still not got the bearing out.

Must be someone we can send hub and drive shafts too and say replace bearings and uj, then they can send them back to refit !!

I find it's easiest to do this bit while still on the car. Undo hub nut and shock and as the whole lot swings down, it'll usually pull the driveshaft out. Sounds like the bearing sleeves on yours have siezed onto the driveshaft stub axle, which is unusual. You could try applying heat, or put the hub nut back on upside down to protect the end of the driveshaft, and whack it hard with a sledgehammer.

Wheel bearing kit here

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

and also about the same price at tvrcarparts/

Just tying to source the UJ's now

Tried that Adam , which loosened it, but now having trouble getting the nut undone again, going to have to stick assembly back on car so I can undo nut again !

I stripped the 'bits' off the car & dropped them at RT who rebuilt the shafts, rebushed the Aframes & diff carrier and fitted bearings but easy for me, I used to pass near RT on businesss.

Don't have to stick it on the car - just put a spanner through the UJ closest to the hub.

This will clash with the trailing arm and allow you to undo the nut.

You can use the same technique on reassembly to get some torque onto the nut, but the final 220lbf and splitpinning should be done on the car or you won't get the required torque.

Tried that Adam but as it broke my only workbench not getting enough purchase with unit sitting on floor
Shouldn't take too long to put a couple of bolt back to hold it steady again

Sounds quite expensive what with needing an extra oil seal and workbench per side LOL.

I did one side a few years ago and must have been lucky as it drifted out relatively easily. Fingers crossed when I need to do the other side it's a similar story.
