Hi Norman your car looks really good, what size spacers did you fit?
Simon, thanks for the commentI still have the standard 'Double 5' 18" wheels
I did have 25mm spacers all round but now I have gone up to 285/40 x 18 on the rear I have 15mm spacers on the back.
I still have the 245/45's on the front with 25mm spacers

Thanks for the info,
BTW took up your recomendation re TL Jags - Good guy! The car is in Wed for the Tensioners
Do you still have the 25mm spacers from the rear?
Simon
I'm glad to have been of help re the Tensioners.BTW took up your recomendation re TL Jags - Good guy! The car is in Wed for the Tensioners

I did do a swap between the 25mm and the 15mm, so sorry I haven't got them.
I'll see what Tom can do price wise for a set later.
I have two pairs of H&R 20mm spacers. One pair is new and unused and the other pair is on my car with under 1K miles on them, which I'm temporarily using to clear the front Brembo brake I put on until I get different wheels. If you want them, I could sell all of them for $300 plus shipping. Much better deal than Paramount, which from the picture on their website looks like they also use H&R spacers.

Hi norman, are you still running the 285x40x18 rears? I need some new boots at the back and was thinking of following suit. What's your long term view of them?
Simon
Simon, sorry for late reply, been away puting some miles on the XKSimon
Never had any problems with the 285/40 Toyo T1-Rs
That and the Limited Slip Diff I had had some great drives over the mountains.

Why not just buy wheels that fit properly rather than bodge spacers on there?
My point would be 'the wheels you like might not come in the right bolt PCD'I can make ANY 5 bolt pattern wheel with an offset greater than 35mm fit a MK1 XK
And lets face it the choice of wheels for these cars isnt great unless you live in the states, and don't even mention BBS wheels, I would sooner have milk bottle tops at least they would last longer!
Think the point here is Evo wants to keep his standard XKR wheels, just bring them out to fill the arches properly.
Think when Jag decided on the look of the car in 1996, they thought the 'inset wheel' look was ok for that era.
Now 13 years later the trend has gone towards wheel edges almost 'in line' with the bodywork, so our skinny look is a bit old hat.
Just my opinion.

XKRacer can still make them just using the same bolt patternThink when Jag decided on the look of the car in 1996, they thought the 'inset wheel' look was ok for that era.

I use 25mm spacers on my 18" Double Fives with standard tyres
If using wide tyres on the rear I then go for 15mm on the rear

Isn't a wheel hub just a spacer though?Gassing Station | Jaguar | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
