Allroad 2.7T Manual reliability?
Discussion
Hello,
I'm looking at a few 03/04 Allroads for sale, 2.7T petrol manual 6 speed with 50-80K on the clock. To do around 6000 miles a year. Just a runaround car, not to be driven hard.
Are there any issues I should be aware of with this car/engine/drivetrain? I guess around 26-28 MPG in general driving, but that's not a concern. I'm more concerned about turbo or drivetrain issues, ie big bills lurking around the corner!
cheers

Economy will be more like 25 unless you are very careful. Manual gearbox will help the economy, particularly around town, and will overcome the biggest reliability problem - Audi tiptronic boxes do have a lot of failures. Turbo seals can go but a later car should be ok. Double check though. Air suspension can give issues and this is really your major long term reliability consideration. Other than that, and beyond usual electical item checks, they are very well built.
