Hi, Has anybody got a rough guide to how much an e60 m5 would cost monthly to run. Based on a 800 mile month with normal driving, half motorway and half town. Am thinking fuel cost, servicing(tyres, brakes etc) and anything else i may of missed. Obivously not insurance. Just want to get a rough idea as i'm thinking of purchasing one. There coming down in price but still need bmw servicing etc which cant be cheap.

cheers

Here's my input based on your 9,600 miles pa:-

Petrol - £3100 based on 15 mpg which is achievable on mixed driving (A/B roads + motorway), could be cheaper but unlikely unless a lot of motorway miles.

Tyres - £1000 - one full set for the year, may get more out the fronts.

Servicing - Difficult to say dependant on CBS - But budget £120pm over a period of time and this shouldn't be far off.

Warranty - If under warranty already, then £0 but otherwise when it comes to extending then about £1200 for the year. If not under warranty then I dread to think of any figures for unforseen failures!

Insurance - Variable but for an old git like me (37 grumpy ) it's £760.

Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, the cost of a decent M5 under warranty with reasonable miles, about £25k+

Aside from that lot, the enjoyment gained - PRICELESS
