Hi. Ive just bought a new dash and wondered if anyone knows what glue is used to secure the M4 fixings onto the rear of the dash?. Ive tried an aryldite type of glue with no luck. The glue Tvr used is very strong possibly 2 pack. How about Thixotropic type? ie evostick which will give slightly when installed into the car. any advice will be appreciated.

Id use JB weld, the two part epoxy, but get the 24 hour setting stuff, its fantastic for fixing hard materials.

I recently installed a new SS dash and also found Quick set Araldite quite unsatisfactory.

"Precision" Araldite is however much better although it takes much longer to set. Ensure you roughen both the fixings and the dash with coarse emery paper to give a key.

One problem with the fixings for the main push button panel is that they have to take a fair amount of tension. I decided to give the fixings a little help by aralditing some support brackets.
Can send pics if interested.

Mine had several different adhesives added over the years:

When I reassembled it I used a bog standard Araldite epoxy and it's been fine. I found that so long as the parts are securely and firmly clamped while curing I had no problems (touch wood).

Thanks for the advice. Well third attempt now. Grab adhesive looked promising as it was flexible, in fact it was Sh*te. Now trying MB weld, fingers crossed.. it was such a poor way of fixing, spot welding before the veneer was added or even CSK bolts just something better than glue!. What were they thinking??
I must say though the new dash looks stunning!. thanks to James at TVR Mads
