Water in passengers footwell

I have got water or liquid of some description in the passengers side footwell of my 94 Chimaera. Any ideas where is could be coming from?

I havent taken the car out in the wet for ages so I dont think that it is a leak letting in rain water. I noticed that there are heater pipes in that part of the footwell but cant see any obvious leaks from these just from a quick inspection though I guess they could be leaking behind where the battery box is. So anybody any ideas where it could be coming from.

I did upset some coke in the footwell a good few weeks ago but have taken the carpet out and it seemed to have dried out and was dry when I took the car to debden on sunday.

Do you have aircon fitted. I had the same problem very clean water no antifreeze evident and happened when there had been no rain. Turned out that the Aircon was venting inside instaed of out!! Worth investigating if you have aircon.

Could be the heater Matrix.

No don't have aircon I am afraid.
Looking at the bible and reading between the lines I am suspecting that its the heater matrix or something related. How the hell can I get at this and where exactly is it? Anybody know!?
