Last night a couple of those lovable travelling people obviously thought they no longer had any use for 4 or 5 six month old terrier puppies so decided to chuck them out of a transit van just down the road from me. Didn't see this myself but heard from someone who saw it just as I was out walking the dog last night.

Went down there with a torch but only one was found. Goodness knows where the others go to as it's all fields and woods. So at least one had a nice night in the local farmhouse before being picked up by the local dog warden.

Now I know there is a lot of stuff going on right now that's not particularly nice but it still annoys the hell out of me that these scum think it's okay to just dump these dogs like this. Can;t control their own breeding or that of their dogs. Utter filth.

They can be heartless baastards. It seems to be their way of life I'm afraid, it's the way their brains are wired.

Those terriers got off lightly I reckon.

Spanish pilkeys break their dogs front-legs, before chucking them outonto the road. They break the legs so the dogs can't run after them.

Nothing to do with them being pikeys but I hate anyone who is irresponsible/heartless with animals. How hard would it be for them to just drop them to the local police station/rspca and say they found them in the road? Dogs won't run the risk of being run over/dying of exposure and they are rid of them. Scumbags.

They'll head straight back to the Pikey campsite. Haven't you seen Snatch? hehe

I hate "gypo's" with a passion. Last winter my girlfriend and I were out for a walk with her horse, down a nice quiet country lane. We could see in the distance what we thought was a rolled up carpet, only when we got closer we saw it was a dead horse, hooves tied together and just dumped. It would appear it had died whilst in their care, and rather than pay for it to be disposed of they'd just dump it. s.

A while ago some travellers took over a car park near the country park I use as a morning dog walk. After a few weeks they got moved on over a weekend - on the Monday morning not far from the car park I found this little character...

...hobbling in the road on 3 legs making a determined attempt to get run over. Very neglected, no collar, no chip, weighed in at 2lbs 13oz, all skin and bone with long tangled hair, long claws almost growing back into the pads and filthy. Certainly no-ones missing loved pet. She had no concept of house training but showed no fear of me, my other (bigger) dogs and understood "get in your bed". So I assume she's an ex-travellers dog.

Anyway, after some surgery to sort out the dodgy leg...

she was much improved...

and is now one of the gang...

Their loss is my gain I think!

And top story! Well done that man!

We've just taken in a stray cat who badgered us for food for a couple of months. Very affectionate little thing he's turned out to be as well.

Well done Steve. Warmed my cockles on a drizzly Monday thumbup

I have a specific loathing of people who are cruel to animals.

What do you expect from pikeys? I'm just amazed they didn't feed them to their pitbulls or dump them in the river.

Next thing you know they'll be legally setting up camp in your garden...

She could have been - once upon a time. Unfortunately stolen dogs often end up in such places. Sometimes they are stolen in the hope that a reward will be offered and other times in order to use them as breeding machines frown
