Nissan Shock Video

Leaked photos are so last week...

Blue: Attention grabbing...
Blue: Attention grabbing...
Hold on to your computer chairs ladies and gents - we've got something a little shocking for you on this gloomy Monday morning. Today we don't have any images of the new Nissan 370Z. That's right, we have a video instead. Just incase you hadn't already commited each one of its controversially-revised curves to memory just yet, here's some footage that recently popped up on the net to further whet your (possibly flagging?) appetite.

If we can drop the tone of cynicism for just a moment, this video does show more of the car's intricate detailing, including the complex headlights and neat 'Z' branded side-repeaters. We also get some new colour choices, a good look at the styled engine bay and our first idea of how this quirky shape looks in motion.

After a long string of leaks and teasers over past weeks and months, the car finally gets its official unveiling this Tuesday at the LA Auto Show.

NB: This video can take a few moments to load - be patient!

I, however, quite like it.

What's the deal with the event then? If I were naive, I'd say it's a Nissan car club meet where Nissan have brought a few along to show them off to the loyal fans. Being cynical, it's a Nissan organised event to get some video footage "leaked".

Nissan released a spy video of the GT-R before it was released, I know someone at Nissan who said they had people with cameras everywhere to get 'spy' looking shots of the GT-R! This is even more blatant then anyone would have thought!

Love the car, read half looks similar to the Z4 coupe to me, am I the only one?

and to think the 911 gets slated by many as not changing its looks much or progressing with each new model, I'm finding it hard to see the difference in old to new, apart from obvious things made worse - handles / wheels and colours so far. at least the 350 was fresh to the market and stood out from the rest, this looks like more of the same to me - which is probably because the 350 was a great package, but haven't they imssed the oportunity to improve the bits that people didn't like ?

I prefer the calmer Mk1 really, tho' I appreciate the 240Z window homage in the new 'un.

Would I buy? Not really - it's just another coupe after all.

Anyway, there's no room for my bike and camera gear in the back.

I thought it was 'erm'. Now I actually quite like it. The rear reminds me of the Porsche 928.

Yep, I like it. It's official! biggrin

I'm quite liking it.

Might have a wonder into the dealers when they get one in.

I to prefer the previous shape, not a great deal to get excited about there.

The car does not look that different if you ask me. I do not like the front lights, just not working with the design of the car at all.

Me too - the initial still shots a few weeks ago did the car no favours.

I like it more each time something new is "leaked"

I'm loving this, couple of details are getting me like the Z-logo side indicator - class.

I'm waiting to see what the roadster version of this is gonna look like... as I think that will be my next car!

Yet more images from Worldcarfans:

Well i like it. Also good that they've sorted out the rear strut brace so it doesn't screw with the load area.

The side indicators have been available as after market products for ages, if you fancy updating your "old" 350z a bit just do a search on ebay.

There is a quite crowd around the "trunk" in one of the scenes so you can't see it clearly but hopefully they've done something inventive with the old rear suspension brace problem....ah whilst I was writing this I saw someone posted photos and the problem is solved....well done nissan!

Aside from that I agree with a few of the other posters, it's starting to grow on me now I see it rolling around.
