Hi, two quick questions:

1) Has a date been set for S club 2009 (don't want the family hol to clash).

2) I've seen xenon headlight bulbs in halfords (super briliance) that claim to be 50% brighter. My headlights aren't dim but I do fancy some extra light at nights...are they a straight swap or will I have to upgrade wiring/bulb holder? Does anyone know the code for these bulbs to make my life easier?

Thanks,

Ralph.

Hi Ralph

I would suggest you speak to Stafford Vehicle Componants they are somewhat better than halfords at giving sensible advice. I have fitted Wipac Quadoptics plus the upgraded halogen bulbs from them and have very pleased

Hi Ralph, at the time of posting, I'm not sure who is going to organise S Club for next year so no dates have been set smile

Thanks for this. I guess I should budget about £90 for the conversion?

I spent £46 pair + £7 P&P for the headlights plus upgraded bulbs but be aware the fitting for the headlight units could be very rusty. They were on my car and i finished drilling out worn screws as well. I also had to remake the little 'L' brackets that hold the rims on.

I have just bought new headlamp bowls and rims with new HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESS (Halogen with side), but make sure the rims are the ones with holes in for the little brackets, from SVC for £50 at the Classic Car Show to replace the existing, they came to £50 might just make life a lot easier

Hmm, may need someone with an intimate knowledge of TVR disassembly to deliver a session on it Chris... hehe

Then, in 2010 we would need a follow up on assembly biggrin

Good venue suggestion, but March is too early especially for the "winter SORN" boys.

Not me, but many do. Wouldn't be fair to exclude them.
