Can anyone recommend someone/somewhere to remove and replace tyres on rims? The wheels are £2000-a-pop and I am a trifle protective of them.

I have no idea on this, but maybe ring a prestige car dealers, or something dealing with higher end car's in the area as to where they get it done?

Its not actually where this postcode point - I cant remember the name. But its just over the road - there are 8 units with white roofs, its the end one on the left (i think there is a wedding car hire place as you turn in). Sorry cant be more specific

Not sure they are worth that, but that's what I had to pay (£1800 + VAT) for a new one earlier this year.

My car has had 3 out of the 4 wheels fracture and whilst the car manufacturer couldn't give a monkeys about product liability and is only too happy to sell me new ones, their wheel supplier is being more reasonable.

Have a chat with Wheel Worx behind Volkswagen, it's not their core business but they're pretty good with helping out

Graypauls do it. Not sure how much they will charge you though and they will sort out any damge on your alloys at the same time. But they do seem to take along time to do it. Ive had to leave cars overnight before. So may not be convienient for you.

Thanks all.

Hadn't considered GP's, and they are only a few hundred yards down the road from work.

EDIT to add as all four wheels are new there is no damage, yet! That's what I am worried about.

Took it to Graypaul's, and they did a great (and careful) job. Cheers.

Dare we ask how much it was to change some tyres?

I had one tyre removed from a wheel (so it can be repainted at the same time as three news ones are made so they match in colour). I will be going back there in a few weeks time to have four tyres put on the new wheels, and balanced etc.

Cost and treatment so far have been exceptional. smile
