all, am changing my 18inch wheels for 19's on my QP.

The car is dark grey with pretty dark windows (previous owner)

I have the option to have the (standard maserati) 19inch wheels in graphite grey at no extra cost, what do you think?

Will be adding red calipers at same time.

I thought the dark grey with red calipers might look good. Alternatively it might make the wheels look permanently dirty!

Opinions pls!

The red calipers will set it off nicely yes

Can you have the rims polished or does it have to be all grey?

I'd have thought the noticeable differences in the way the car rides and handles would have been more important than what colour they look when dirty.

Personally, i wouldnt do it. I think the silver wheels would look tidier on a grey car.

Mind, if I was running a QP, I'd be looking for a set of these:

Did he say they weren't?

I may have misunderstood, but as far as I read it, Craig is getting the wheels anyway, for any number of reasons (knowing Craig I'm sure that handling might have crossed his mind) ... he simply has the option at no extra cost to have them grey or silver ... but then again, maybe he wishes he hadn't bothered asking now.

correct. The 19inch wheels were an option on the QP I have anyway so whilst the ride might be a little harsher, the better looks will make up for that.

Personally, no, as I think you need a bit of contrast ... the dark car, dark tyres and dark wheels are all a bit, well, dark ... but hey, I'm going for dark bronze on mine so there's no accounting for taste!

Noooo, I decided against the 850 as it was too special a car to use trundling 1.5 miles to work and back each day then sitting on the drive all weekend.

The Ferrari. I scuffed both o/s wheels so, as it's having a nose and bonnet paint, and as the wheels need doing anyway, why not give it a go. It may look crap but it's only a couple of hundred to change them back so what the hell.

A touch darker than this ...

but what I'd REALLY like to try is ...

May take more than a couple of hundred to put right if I didn't like it though!
