Info on a car req
Discussion
Hi Pete
I had a passing interest in the car, so I asked a few questions a while back, including the various ones about the engine. The reply wasn't very comprehensive and seemed to skip the key engine questions, but this was it:
"Im the second owner of the ultima i have owned it now for three years.
the car is hpi clear, the scrape on the gel coat is where the guy who previously owned it couldn't see when he was reversing it off his driveway and rubbed a brick pier.
the engine is as new with only 1700miles the engine is normally aspirated by means of a single holley carb.
i bought new wheels and tyres for the ultima so i have a spare set that could be used for track days.
ihave not tracked the ultima as i have a caterham for just that purpose so sadly only used on sunny weekends on public roads .it is sorn off road at the moment and has no mot however,an mot can be arranged if needed."
Not sure if this helps you or not really. There was also a thread about it on this forum a little while back, where people made a few good observations. I don't know how to link to it, but the title was "Blue GTR for sale - good or bad?????" and the last comment was 2 November. May be worth scrolling back a few pages and reading the comments.
Cheers
Andrew
