I knew there was something wrong with the driver's seat but exactly what didn't become completely clear until I removed the seat from the car:

All of the horizontal wires had rusted and subsequently broken, meaning there was no support under the squab. After an hour of so with a reel of thick plastic coated Garden Wire and a pir of plyers it's now 110% better.

Anyone else experienced this?

Are you offering a service?

Better get under and take a look!

Be very careful, the rusted wires are like needles and do penetrate the skin with ease!! So, do not just run your hand under the seat.

It's a dead easy job to do, even a blindfolded a one armed man could do it.

But where do you find a blindfolded, one armed man when you need one?

That reminds me:

Never buy a mentally retarded dwarf!

Because it's not big and it's not clever.

I know not 'PC' but funny none the less.
