my wifes considering getting a SLK200 1.8

can anybody advise of when the current shape SLK was introduced and if any new facelift/model is planned
and
is the 1.8 ok power wise for a daily run around?

Facelift was about 3 months ago - you'll notice it from the missing tooth in the front valance (inverted "V") and square tailpipes (i assume all models have this?)

Next revision is a totally new car but that's 2-3 years away!

The 1st ones were about on an 04 plate. Gary has correctly said the facelift has just been done, one of the changes to the 200 was an increase of about 20bhp iirc.

The 200 isn't a bad car to run around in day to day, it can just be a bit noisy as the engine rev's quite highly.
