Got a bag of these from someone back from Holidays, they are absolutely fantastic.

Thought they might be the kind of thing Lidl would stock but doesn't appear so.

It would appear they hail from Gouda in Holland (although the folk that got them for me picked them up duty free in Italy). Thin waffles filled with a caramel & cinammon filling.

I love them, does anyone know where I could get in the UK?

Oh man, LOVE those!

As you seem to have heard of these, by any remote possibility have you also had something that I can only describe as a cinnamon rock stick......

If I remember rightly it's shaped like a stick of rock, flavoured with cinnamon and a bit chewier, and coated in a dusting of the stuff also.

We are going back 14 years mind

if Lidl doesn't, I'd have thought Aldi might. you'd get them anywhere in holland and most places in germany

the proper way to eat them is to rest them on top of your coffee cup like a lid until they go all soft, then eat them

They are Dutch indeed (Stroop = cinammon), i always bring my collegues back loads when i go back home, but i believe one of them said she found them in one of the local big supermarkets here as well (waitrose or morrissons i believe). I'll double check with her wink

I love them, we used to have a Dutch guy working in our office, when ever he went home, he always bought back 5 or 6 bags of them lick

I've had them from Tesco I think, unsure if it was those Dutch ones or the Welsh ones though

I've had them from Asda and Waitrose - saw packets of them in both supermarkets today!

Utterly delicious and you can't eat just one...

Another vote for Tregroes Waffles here....

Although its based in Wales, its run by a bloke called Kees Huysmans, which sounds pretty Dutch to me....

I am led to believe that the ones in ASDA are made by Tregroes...

The little shop round the corner from me in Edinburgh does them. Never tried them before I read this thread but just bought a packet and think I could easily become addicted.

I've just got a letter from Tregroes.

They're doing a limited run for Christmas of Chocolate Mint Toffee Waffles.

Might just have to try those..... lick
