Any of you blokes/birds had any experience with our mates at VX? Mines whining like a whiney thing from Whineville. Just wondered as with the Magnacharger strapped to the top of the engine I've a feeling they're going to get all stroppy. Any feedback?

Ive had the diff done recently, a 2007 cv8 no problem. No charger strapped to it though.

Incidentally, mine has been sat in vaux now for 3 weeks waiting for Drive shaft bolts!!! after Vaux replaced the diff, it managed 150 miles before drive shaft came away.

Be warned, your car may be in the garage some time.

are the diffs on the vxr and vxr 500 the same if so i cant see a problem. if they are different then maybe a problem

do something to the cable so they cant open the bonnet! what they want to open the bonnet for a diff swap anyway,

"the whining from the engine bay thats just a tensioner and i quite like it!"

I had my diff replaced 3 times under warranty in 7 mnths of ownership - it never worked, it put me off CV8 and I sold it last week for something much quieter, a bit faster, and hopefully a lot more reliable.
Good luck with your warranty claim, if you go to a sympathetic dealer like Picador you might get lucky....if VX link the failure of the diff to excess power then you may have a problem....if so I suggest you speak to one of the fine aftermarket providors of NON VX diffs which probably work and are probably cheaper than paying VX for on of their HOS diffs.

Hmm, any motor factors will have a 6pk2000 belt which works fine, though I think the actual one is a 6pk1998
