Hi all, Do any of you own a dB meter or know where i can borrow/use one. Am taking my wedge on a track day in november and want to measure my(nice)noise level to see how far over the limit it is?before i go spending a fortune on inserts.
I live near gravesend in kent, anywhere close would be a bonus;:-)
Cheers
Andy

I bought a pair of track silencers for mine the other week and didnt need them at Goodwood on monday when the limit was 98db. Mine has had the rear boxes removed and runs with just the large front box and sounds great. Passed Goodwood test at 90db, maybe a problem with their meter. Contact me if you want a loan of bolt on boxes, i`m in Sevenoaks so not to far away.

Andy, find a local track that is holding a track day before yours comes up. Someone there should oblige and give you a test.

I did this a couple of years ago when I had a wedge. Fortunately it was 'quiet' enough.

Thanks for advice, guys, now i'm gonna have to look on the net to see what a nokia 5100 and 6250 look like to see if any mates have one!(not sure they'd be that accurate surely??)
Have tried brands and they dont have another car trackday until 4 days before the event,Typical!

Blimey I'd definately say they had a problem with their metter on that day, didn't you have any problems with the drive by ones either

My seac measured just 100db at 4000 rev's...

so - it's border line for most trackdays..

I would guess your 390 will be similar..

No problem with driveby`s either pleased to say. Must have been their meter as standard ? 911, Caterfield and F.Ford amongst others failed
