so at Microsoft not a real job then (spoken as a long term Microsoft gold partner!)

Get to talk about technology but never having to help a customer wrestle with having to make the "vision" real

anyway Monaros are much more fun nothing like sliding around the roundabouts coming up to TVP on a wet day

I spent last week at Teh-ed in Barcelona & it was really good. We are looking into Azure & cloud services at my place to extend our web site for mobile applications using REST/JSON. I'll be doing a talk at TVP in Jan about it if you're interested?

I'm just a Microsoft user, or more correctly MS "used" by. The term "Golden Shower" comes to mind.

Careful after a spirited trip through the roundabouts in the viper last year i was met in atlas car park by our facilities manager who had got a call from the security hut at the end of the parkway who were not impressed at being woken up by the pops and bangs of a V10. Lets just say they weren't happy and CCTV was mentioned.

Atlas? You have my deepest heartfelt condolences. So glad I jacked that one in sharpish

True what I hear the other day about the Minister banning mobile devices? Wouldn't surprise me

Eileen, just looked at your blog and I'm convinced I met you a couple of years back at a Technet bash at the Glasgow Science Centre. You were doing the Exchange and messaging demo iirc with some "dude" back at Microsoft US headquarters across a live link. Probably still got my notes lying around here somewhere with the names, contact details etc of the presenters.

Funny how many of us on this forum at in IT. I'm sure I get paid a lot less than most going by the way some people spend money.....37k average IT salary yeah right tell that to my two techies that just about get that between them. 350-400 desktops/laptops, 15 servers, 3Com switched network and VOIP system, and 1100 hackers inside the network (work in a school)and according to a tv ad its so easy to make loads of money in IT - yeah right!!! Like to see some of their "trainers" cope with our network for a couple of days.

and it'll get worse when Microsoft launch BPOS in the uk and say to your boss don't bother with "expensive" IT staff Microsoft will run things like Exchange and Sharepoint out of their DC in Dublin for less than £15 per user per month Azure is just a stepping stone to get "everything" into the Microsoft DC
farewell to companies IT staff and channel partners

sorry this is not about Ro's!!!

And repeat: Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers Developers developers, argh off to hospital with a broken voice.

or, how about the classic "WHOOOOOO, YEEEEAGHHH, GIVE IT UP FOR ME!"

Gotta love some of the Microsoft enthusiasm. They're either screaming about this and that or indulging in patriotic body art, for those that are familiar with the ex-MS gaming chief Peter Moore!
