Anyone know anything about these? came accros a picture of one in a book and thought it was one of the best looking cars i have seen.
Anyone know how much you could pick one up for or where to look?

for these kind of cars you can check
www.classicdriver.com

"Facel-Vega HK 500 - Totally restored car at great expence by Facel Vega make specialist. Exhibited at the prestigeous Paris Retromobile show, it must be one of the nicest HK500's around. This Chrysler 6.3 L V8 powered car with rare four-speed manual gearbox, was in the post-war years lonely at the top of the French car producers. Was used as an every day car by previous Belgian owner after a remarkless "controle technique" (MOT)-test. Super, exclusive, rare, stunning beauty. All those superlatives rightfully in this one HK500. Yours for a tempting 50.000 euro."

Cheers, Ozren

They are beautiful and very nicely put together. They also have terrible brakes, very sloppy handling and incredibly long-winded steering (or so state all of the articles I've read about them).

Nothing a bit of enthusiastic engineering wouldn't fix!

We had an HK500 as our wedding car a few years ago.

Saw the most wonderful HK500 coming towards me on the Epping New Road on Sunday. I found myself shouting and pointing! .

Beautiful condition in black with wire wheels, and sounded superb.

Apart from the one we had for our wedding, and a couple for sale at car-shows, it's the first one I've ever seen on the open road, and I've been looking since seeing one in a magazine back in '77 which was for sale for £1250!
