Rob,

I shall be joining the M4 at Swindon Junction 15.

Membury services is a good meeting point and is approx 60 miles from the Bershire Convoy meeting point. That's an hours travelling in round figures.

I will be getting on the M4 at Jn 15 (it's 2 miles from my house)
Happy to meet here or at Membury.
I think there are a couple coming from Oxford area, maybe they would like to meet here aswell.

Working on arriving at the Berkshire Convoy meeting point at 4:15am,
I estimate we should be leaving membury services at 3:20am.

I doubt that the services is going to be busy at that time so if we park near the
buildings we will see / hear each other.

I'm an hour from Membury so this is becoming more of a late night than an early start.

In time honoured fashion, the M4 mini convoy so far....

Junction 12 or 13 would suit me better!

Gulp!
Maybe if I can get out of bed, although it's tempting to leave around 5am and go straight there...

5.00am start from your house -

I don't know where you are in Wiltshire or what extras you have under the bonnet
but 90 minutes for that journey, whatever the route, is exceptional.

It is at least 90 minutes from Junct 10 of the M4 (especially if you can't resist a slight detour)

The Nige - That shows real commitment and you make me feel a bit of a wimp as I probably won't go if the weather is wet. I'd offer to put you up as I'm just off J19, but we're out Saturday night and we've family staying. I'll be in enough trouble leaving so early without waking the wife and neighbours (straight through exhaust!)and if there's 2 of us the s*** would really hit the fan. If you want a bit of sleep there's an Express By Holiday Inn (01793 818800) hotel at J16 (Swindon), less than 15mins from Membury Services.

Robwhite, Thanks for the info Rob. I also have a brother with a cerbera who may be comming up as well depending on the weather, Four setting off from your place that early would not go down well. laugh Does any one if there is an all night Shell near membury for the old V-Power not sure what the gauge will be reading by then.
