I have standard calipers and 160bhp with slicks. EBC yellow stop me fine, time after time. Don't even think about Greens! EBC got some bad rep, but in the last year I defy you to find someone who has a bad word to say about(YELLOW ONLY!) them when considering a price to performance ratio.

Not sure what pad fits a 'v6 brembo'?

never had a problem with greenstuffs before. If the engine is standard they should be no problem

I use pagid rs29's in the club sport, great pads but expensive. I used to use hawk 9012 blue in my old race car which was only a couple of hundred kilos lighter than a stripped out 205, these seemed pretty good as well.

anything larger than standard calipers is just overkill IMO. Standard calipers are very good especially with a good set of DS2500s, DS3000s or 1144s. The extra unsprung weight of larger calipers is not needed.

I have to agree, you are not stopping a 1300kg saloon car here, more like 800 kilos. My mi16 stops fine with EBC yellows on slicks. I reckon you get about 1.3/1.4* times the stopping power with them as well, when compared to normal road tyres.

  • 1.4 times is estimated obviously, its not double, and its unlikely to be 50% extra, but certainly a lot more.
